Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzans
Now Available
Closed for the Summer
We had an amazing 2025 season but now the boys are off for the summer!
We would like to say a special thank you to Mr. Charley Belcher from Fox 13 Tampa Bay and Mr. Jay Heater from East County Observer for helping get the word out about our horses.
We would also like to thank all our volunteers for every thing they do to keep the property in good shape and keep the show going.
And we especially would like to thank all our guests for coming out to support our horses, our volunteers, and our staff not only with their patronage but also all their kind words and encouragement.
Without all of you, we simply could not keep going.
Thank you all so much and have a great summer!
The Lipizzan is one of the rarest breeds in the world. They are known as being the ‘ballerinas of the horse world’ as well as war horses capable of advanced combat maneuvers. Majestic and proud, these diamonds of Hapsburg royalty are on the endangered species list to this day.
The Lipizzans gained worldwide fame and awareness after their rescue during World War II by Colonel Charles Reed under the direction of General George Patton, who was himself a renowned horseman. This rescue, dubbed Operation Cowboy, may well have saved the Lipizzan breed from extinction. The breed was further celebrated in Walt Disney’s “Miracle of the White Stallions.”
Since coming to the United States in 1962, the Herrmann family has dedicated themselves to promoting and preserving the Lipizzan horse. They came to this country with three Lipizzans and a hope of building a better life after leaving the desolation of war-torn Europe.
We are now in our fifth generation of Herrmann riders. This family legacy has spanned six decades in the United States. Our children are raised alongside the horses who have provided us with our American dream. Here people and animals alike are all family.
We invite you to come and witness one of the hidden treasures of Europe.
The Lipizzans have performed for dignitaries, royalty, and military leaders.
Now these horses perform for you.
